The drinking system for poultry is an essential component of the systems at the poultry house.
Water quality and drinking line cleanliness has a crucial impact on growing results.
During the growing period as between periods many activities are done to the drinking systems mainly focused on disinfection and cleaning, using aggressive materials. By regular cleaning of the drinking lines the use of such aggressive chemicals is reduced substantially.
The Flush Control system provides easy planned and ad-hoc high pressure flushing for cleaning the drinking lines. An additional important feature is the use of such flushing, particularly at the beginning of the growing period, to induce drinking.
The system uses Bluetooth technology and is operated by an application the can also be operated from a cellular phone. The system is composed of three main parts:
• Flush Control Regulator Unit Set – the unit is mounted on a pressure regulator, and operates an electric faucet in the regulator to activate the flushing. The energy source is a battery using energy saving algorithms that allows long term use measured in years.
• Flush Control Wall Unit Set – Central unit controlling the Regulator Units is installed in the vicinity of the Regulator Units, at a distance of up to 20 meters. The Central Unit uses a standard 110/220V electricity. Each Central unit may be connected up to 32 Regulator Units and has additional relays to allow it to be connected to other control systems in the poultry farm.
• Application – The application may be installed on Bluetooth supporting devices including cellular phones, with either Android or Apple based operating systems. The application includes several operation and setup screens as well as a main status screen.
Flushing functionality by the application:
o Ad-hoc manual activation
o Pre-defined schedule of flushing by growing days, either according to specific days of the week or flushing schedule per number of days from last flushing. Scheduling allows up to 6 flushing activation's per day and in addition 5 different schedules may be defined to reflect different ages by growing days.
o Temperature event driven activation to refresh the water. In this option the system checks the water temperature and based on a pre-defined threshold activates the flushing and refreshes the water.
